Event Recap!

We pulled into Marksmans Nest on the 13th and you could feel it straight away — that proper competition buzz, but with the kind of vibe where everyone’s there to push hard and still have a laugh.

We kicked the day off with fun, tough workouts… and then started throwing in the new stuff. Drags. Throws. Carries. The kind of “what even is this?” challenges that turn into “okay this is actually epic” about 30 seconds in. Every round got a bit louder, a bit faster, a bit more competitive.

And then we did what IFT does best… we made sure the shooting wasn’t just shooting.
We added very specific shooting drills after the fatigue — lungs burning, grip slipping, shoulders heavy — and now you’ve still got to be calm, controlled, and accurate. That real-world pressure where you don’t get to choose the perfect moment… you perform anyway.

Somewhere in the middle of all that… the potjie kos pot arrived!
Not for eating — for suffering!!! Loaded with iron, just heavy enough to make the run bite harder and make your grip and shoulders question their life choices.

But the highlight? The final workout.
We added a house-clearing section and the guys absolutely loved it. You could see it — that mix of focus, adrenaline, and pure enjoyment. Everyone finished with that “I’m cooked… but that was unreal” look.

Massive thank you to Marksmans Nest and the staff for hosting us so well. It’s a proper range, great people, great setup — and we’ll 100% be back for more events there.

Summer Series #2 was one of those days where you leave tired… but smiling.
